Targets
Welcome fellow MoGoers. I wrote this tool to help you predict the chances of landing on a target square. For most casual play, this will be overkill, but if you're high-rolling 1000x dice or just trying to make the best out of a pickup event, it might come in handy.
When throwing two dice, the probability of getting a seven is way higher than a two. Ok veterans, I know dice rolls in Monopoly Go are predetermined, but they do follow the rules of probability. The simple method of using probability to your advantage is only to roll big when you're seven tiles away from a target. But what happens if there is more than one useful tile a potential roll away? This tool accounts for all possible targets within one roll and gives you an overall probability of whether you'll land on a 'good' tile.
In the Mode menu (top left), start with the Token Location - this is the tile you are currently on. Just click that square on the big board - the carousel at the bottom will automatically scroll to it. Then in the Targets menu (bottom left), select the tiles you want to land on. Normally Railroads are always a good target because of the tournaments, but don't forget the Top Event and select the goals for that too. During pickup events you'll want to select 'Place Pickups' in the Mode menu and click on the tiles that have pickups. Click again on a pickup to remove it (in Token Location mode, clicking a pickup will also remove it as once you land on a pickup, it moves to a new location - click twice to both remove the pickup and then place your token). Pickups will obviously be more work in the tool, but ultimately worth the effort.
You can optionally place shield locations around the board. Since you get your dice back, you can consider them a 'good' throw, but only if you want to go to the effort of maintaining their location. Up to you. Shields operate the same way as pickups.
Note: When you're in 'placement' mode, the background will turn red as a visual clue so you don't mistakenly put pickups all over the board when you're actually trying to move your token.
